HYGIENE GUARANTEE

We adhere to the strictest hygiene standards and our production can be traced at all stages guaranteeing transparency which contributes to progress in the ducks' performance.

SNA Charter

This charter, implemented on the initiative of the SNA (National Union of Hatchery Operators), aims to guarantee optimum hygiene control (particularly the fight against salmonella). This document sets out procedures for the following points:

  1. Designing, cleaning and disinfecting the hatchery
  2. Hygiene of the various people working there
  3. Hygiene and protection of eggs
  4. Flow management and traceability

COHS (Official Hygiene and Sanitary Inspection)

The aim of the COHS is to monitor hygiene procedures for the production facilities of eggs to be hatched and to detect salmonella in accordance with the procedures defined by ministerial decree.

Partnership with Labovet

Mésangère has decided to entrust bacteriological and hygiene analyses to two COFRAC* accredited establishments:

  • Labovet for Mésangère 49
  • Biosud for Mésangère 32

Analyses are done twice as required by law.
Vets from the Labovet consultancy, a liberal professions company, monitor hygiene on the premises.

ISO procedure

Since the start of the hatching business Mésangère has always striven to continuously improve the quality of its products.
Today this is formalised by our commitment to comply with the quality management system as set out in ISO 9001 version 2000.

DSV (Veterinary Services Supervisory Department)

The DSV is a public department under the direct authority of the prefect. It is responsible for monitoring standards, the quality of hygiene and respect for the environment in the raising areas and the hatchery.

Managing expertise internally

In order to control risks better, all the work is done by company staff, from raising the future breeding stock to delivering the ducks including washing activities and the technical services performed by our partner breeders (hygiene, electricity, plumbing).
