The Peking Duck
The Peking duck is a domestic duck of the Colvert (Anas platyrhynchos) family. Called a common duck (as opposed to the Barbary duck which is descended from the Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata)), this duck owes its name to its Chinese origins.

Its qualities are rapid growth and good egg production. Peking females are also used to cross with the Barbary male to produce Mulard ducks.
