PRODUCTION SITES

Mésangère is having to cope with situations that are becoming more and more risky. Contamination by uncontrollable factors must be taken into account (bird migration, neighbouring companies having different activities etc.).
For this reason the company hoped to spread these risks over two geographically independent sites (raising facilities and hatcheries).
These sites have been set up in the two main duck production areas in France: The Pays de Loire and the South West

The 2 production sites:

Mésangère 49 (Pays de Loire)

  • a 5,300 m² hatchery with capacity for 1,750,000 eggs.
  • four buildings with a total area of 3,000 m² for sampling males for artificial insemination.
  • four buildings with a total area of 4,000 m² for producing eggs to be hatched.
  • capacity for breeding more than 35,000 ducks for a few days.

Mésangère 32 (South West)

  • an 1100 m² building with capacity for 400,000 eggs.
